Prior to graduating high school, I was involved in building 4 houses from foundation to finish, tore off shingles and reapplied multiple roofs and was involved in forming and pouring many yards of concrete, all before the age of 18.
After graduation, I started a business with a friend replacing windows and doors along with vinyl siding and soffit.
After a successful year, I was offered opportunity to work for a company called Leinberger Builders where I developed many
other skills such as mason tending, laying block, and pouring parking lots. I built giant coolers, installed VT flooring,
acoustical ceilings and cabinetry while building Sunoco gas stations from the ground up all over the state of Michigan.
Anything that needed done, I was the first to volunteer. I did it all.
While employed at Leinberger Builders, I met a great man named Tom Emery (later, the best man in my wedding)
who decided to go out on his own. He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, and I went to work for him.
We built houses, pole barns, decks and all kinds of other residential projects.
At the age of 21, I had opportunity to leave the cold state of Michigan and was offered a job in Charleston SC building swimming pools. I participated in building 4 or 5 inground swimming pools before realizing building pools wasn’t my cup of tea. I then walked-up on a construction site and asked if they were hiring. Aztec construction put me to work the next day as a carpenter skilled at trim and siding.
After six months, I bought Aztec with all its equipment, its crew, and a contract to side and trim what ended up being 50 homes a year for Centex/Croslin Builders for the next 5 years.
Finally, Kiawah Island came knocking when I was offered a project siding a million-dollar beach house. From there I spent the next 12 years building on the island. Framing, siding, exterior trim, interior trim and cabinets in multimillion dollar beach houses from frame to finish was the scope of my work.
The housing crash relocated us in June of 2010 to Washington PA (my wife’s hometown). New construction and homebuilding were limited, so we started a remodeling business.
From there, we obtained a GC license and excelled in remodeling kitchens & baths, tile, floors and anything interior for 13 years.
In late 2023, our children with grandchildren (and the weather) called us back to the south. In Jacksonville, Florida, started Mazzaroth Enterprises, LLC, offering out of this word remodeling at down to earth prices, specializing in kitchen & bath and any other project you need completed.
We pride ourselves on timely completion of projects, excellent communication with homeowners and full transparency. We are fully insured, and we take many forms of payment.
